Chimney Liner Installation, done the honest way
Older Twin Cities chimneys have clay tile liners, and after decades of freeze and thaw and heat those tiles crack. A cracked liner lets heat and gases reach the framing around the chimney. Some older chimneys have no liner at all.
We install stainless steel liners sized for your fireplace, wood stove or furnace. Before we recommend a liner, we show you the condition of the existing flue with photos. If the tiles are fine, we tell you they are fine.
Signs you need this
- Pieces of clay tile in the firebox
- A Level 2 inspection or home inspection that flagged the flue
- A chimney fire in the past
- Connecting a new wood stove or insert
- An older home with no liner
